Know Your Numbers: Body Mass Index (BMI)

Being both overweight and underweight can lead to a range of chronic conditions and health risks such as:

Type 2 Diabetes

High blood pressure

Heart or blood vessel problems

Cardiovascular disease

Musculoskeletal problems

Malnutrition (UW)

Osteoporosis (UW)

Anaemia (UW)

Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women. BMI can give you an idea of your risk by placing you in a particular weight category.

As a service to Desire's potential clients, Harvard Medical School

has provided the link below that can help you, and your general practitioners in determining any health risks you may be facing if your BMI is outside of the healthy range. Knowing your numbers (BMI) also enables me to help you to get your way to success. Indeed, I am UrgirlRhonda. And I hope to see you on the health and fitness side of "Wellness"
